Monster Truck Madness – Time for a Change
Hello everybody and Happy Thursday!
It’s time for an announcement! This week goes to be my final common weekly Monster Truck Madness put up. Please word that I stated “last regular” and never “last”!
10 years in the past I used to be certainly one of a bunch of associates that began up the Trigger King R/C Monster Truck Racing Series in St. Louis, MO. We began by racing mud vans within the Spring of 2014 (you will discover the unique occasion protection of that first occasion here), however shortly transitioned to racing monsters. Our first true monster truck race was in August 2014 (occasion protection here), and we’ve been going at it both month-to-month or seasonally ever since!
It’s been a blast and I’m very happy with the position we’ve performed, regardless of how small it might of been, in serving to to advance the recognition of r/c stable axle monster vans during the last decade- each with our YouTube channel and all the posts on Big Squid. I’ve had a freakin’ blast racing and assembly folks from everywhere in the nation.
Over this time, monster truck racing has taken up nearly all of my r/c time. I’ve determined that I’m prepared to alter that, and due to this fact I’m stepping down in serving to to run Trigger King. As a coincidence in timing would have it, so is my very long time companion on this, Bob C. Chandler. The membership is being turned over to group of men though- longtime associates and racers Chris Blank and Chris Parrish- and they’re gonna preserve the flame lit!
This put up already feels uncomfortably self-serving sufficient at this level, however I’d remiss if I didn’t thank a ton of individuals for serving to out through the years. Trigger King has all the time been a large workforce effort.
Special because of Chris Blank, Bob C. Chandler, Danny Maass, Josh Rhodes, Travis Sutton, Ross Hinshaw, John and Rebecca Arnold at JB Scale Graphics, Jeremy Mark, Chris Parrish, Jason Childress, Lonny Childress, Aaron Janes, Mike Arndt, Habo, Ed Hoorman, Chris Kaelin, Jordan Sicht, Mike White, Isaac Ankrom, Bari Musawwir, Steve Scott, Brandon Scott, Colby Marshall, Mike Bufka, the whole BIGFOOT 4×4 workforce, Jason Ruona and the JConcepts crew, Greg Sopa and the monster truck nuts at Horizon Hobby, WY Industries, Checkered Flag Hobby Country in St. Louis, Vinyl Images, Josh at Harley Designs, Darren at Mark Twain Hobby Center in St. Louis, Brian, Tim, Cubby, Jeremy and the remainder of the workforce right here at Big Squid RC, and naturally my spouse Jaime- all of you may have helped in some capability through the years and I actually respect it. Big apologies if I left somebody out here- I’m form of riffing off the highest of my head!
Thank you to all of the readers I’ve been capable of chat with and meet because of Trigger King as nicely! I respect your assist of the weekly Monster Truck Madness weblog put up and it’s been superior to compete in opposition to a lot of you on the racetrack!
Thanks once more to everybody who has helped with Trigger King R/C. I’m glad it’s gonna be in good palms going ahead.
Fret not, pricey reader- I’m not getting out of r/c. Heck, I’m not even getting out of r/c monster vans fully. I’ll nonetheless run with the TK crew now and again, simply not month-to-month because it was once. I’m trying ahead to having the ability to have extra time (and extra of my passion finances!) to discover and take part in different areas of r/c that I’ve not been capable of interact a lot with the previous couple of years.
I’ll talk about these plans subsequent week. Until then, preserve it on all 4’s!
