From Horizon Hobby:
TLR, Pro-Line, AKA, and Spektrum are stepping up their support for RC racers in the U.S. for the 2023 season with the Racer Payout Program, a cash contingency program totaling more than $3600,000 available for qualified racers!
These incredible brands will offer contingency opportunities for racers competing in the 1/10 classes of 2wd Buggy and 4wd Buggy. On the 1/8 side of the sport, they will provide contingency opportunities for Nitro Buggy / E-Buggy and Nitro Truggy / E-Truggy.
The Racer Payout Program (RPP) will reward drivers from the Sportsmen level up to the Pro ranks and will pay the top three drivers. Make the podium and get paid cold hard cash; no gift cards or credit here.
The RPP has created a nationwide list of fifteen Tier 1 National Level races and twenty Tier 2 Regional Level races to give everyone a shot at winning. We will be adding races throughout the year as new Tier 1, and Tier 2 level races are announced.
Event Payout
The Racer Payout Program (RPP) has two separate Tiers of payouts, one based on the prestigious National level races (Tier 1) and one geared more towards the Regional type races (Tier 2). Since each event has its own naming convention for classes, please check the actual classes offered on the official race list.
Each driver is eligible for up to three (3) individual contingency payouts per class / per event. (tire contingency is only offered to Pro-Line OR AKA)
Example 1: If you win Pro Nitro Buggy driving a TLR buggy with Pro-Line Tires and using a Spektrum radio, you will receive $1200.00 of cold hard cash.
Example 2: If you place second in Pro Nitro Buggy running AKA Tires and using a Spektrum radio, you will receive $400.00 of cold hard cash. If you place third in Pro Nitro Truggy at the same event running AKA Tires and using a Spektrum radio, you will receive an additional $200.00…for a total of $600.00
