Monster Truck Madness – Vintage Monster Trucks Re-releases
Hey everybody, Happy Thursday!
Vintage re-releases are the new subject as of late within the r/c business, no less than insofar because the racing neighborhood is anxious, what with all of the basic buggies and stadium vans being re-released (elements help round stated classic buggies can also be a HUGE dialogue, however that’s a can of worms I’m not opening right here!).
I used to be an r/c racer again within the 90’s, with my first foray into organized racing taking place in 1993, so it makes me pleased seeing all of this stuff being introduced again. Granted, the period of racing I grew up in was the mid-90’s versus late 80’s/early 90’s so releases have been only a smidge extra trendy than the present crop of re-releases, however I nonetheless noticed many of those basic rigs doing their factor throughout this time interval. And it was an excellent time, certainly!
But I’m not right here to actually speak about these autos. I’d slightly speak classic monster vans as a substitute. Or extra appropriately, the dearth of them.
I feel that if there’s a marketplace for people wanting Associated RC10T’s and Kyosho Optimas….that there would ABSOLUTELY be people wanting candy classic type monster particular version re-releases like Kyosho Big Bosses or Marui Big Bears (I don’t even know who owns the license for the Big Bear, nowadays!).
Thus far Traxxas has seemingly completely averted the retro r/c craze, however that they had a monster truck that many hobbyists maintain close to and expensive to there hearts- the Traxxas Sledgehammer. The Stampede would finally change it, however in its day many youngsters began in passion grade r/c’s with a Sledgehammer. I’d LOVE to purchase a re-release, white plastic and all!
The elephant within the room right here is Tamiya as they’ve a bunch of their basic line-up out there by way of re-release, however even they’re lacking some necessary stuff from the again catalog that might most likely promote effectively. The crown jewel of which might be the leaf spring outfitted Juggernaut, which was presupposed to be the successor to the Clod however by no means caught on. I’ve written a lot about how the Jugg was forward of it’s time and desperately must come back….however I’ll say it once more. Tamiya, please re-release the Juggernaut!
Oh, and whereas I’m on my soapbox….let’s hope any potential monster truck re-releases are within the correct unique scale. I like small scale r/c vans and buggies as a lot as the subsequent man….however these are monster vans!
Ok, I’m carried out with my “old man yells at cloud” routine.
Until subsequent time, preserve it on all 4’s!
